BOUDOIR
The definition of boudoir is : capturing the raw and sensual beauty of a woman.
Originally (or for most), boudoir has been interpreted as being naked our wearing skimpy lingerie.
When one thinks of boudoir, we mostly think of capturing our sexiness…and for some, that can be an unachievable thought.
Boudoir is more about who YOU are!
Capturing your raw beauty is about capturing every essence of you…whatever that might be. Maybe that’s sexy lingerie and a pout…but maybe it’s a cosy cardigan and a smile. The outfit doesn’t really matter too much (you can choose to dress up or strip down). What matters is capturing your beauty from within. When that is done right, it’ll be seen on the outside too.
Boudoir is not just about pretty pictures.
The pictures are going to be a beautiful reminder of your empowering experience…but it’s the experience that is going to help you appreciate the wonderful woman that you are!
You may walk into my studio feeling like you can’t do this, but that courage that makes you say yes to this experience, will let you explore who you are. It will allow you to have fun. It will make you feel like you’re the only one in the room and the most beautiful person in the world.
I help a little with that too. I guide you through every step and hold your hand (figuratively not literally, of course). I make sure you feel comfortable, which will eventually have you walking out of my studio with confidence and a huge smile!

Hello…I’m Emma!
I am your session planner, set designer, style guide, posing coach, self-love coach, hair stylist, makeup artist, photographer, editor, sales rep, bartender, coffee barista and friend. It’s just me and you!
Making YOU feel comfortable is my number one priority.
With my makeup certification, 10+ professional years behind the camera and a whole lifetime of learning to love who I am…I am here to help you find comfort in being you by encouraging you to have a healthier relationship with yourself.
A photo shoot with me is an opportunity for you to discover who you are and learn to LOVE that woman!
You may walk into my studio with nerves, but you will be sure to walk out feeling feminine, fabulous and full of confidence.
Once upon a time, I was a shy little girl.
I allowed the bullies to push me into the shadows. But I didn’t stay there!
Every choice I have made in life, has been done with courage...in order to gain confidence. Eventually, I reached that ultimate feeling of self-love...and I continue to hold on to that feeling by working on me, every day...and celebrating the woman I have become (and am becoming).
Experiencing boudoir in front of the camera was the first time I truly felt beautiful, confident and extremely empowered.
I was nervous, just like my clients, but after hair and makeup and a few minutes in front of the camera...I was having the time of my life. It was SO.MUCH.FUN! I hadn’t even seen a single picture and I already wanted to do it all over again. And I have done...soooo many times!!
In that moment, I knew that I wanted to pay that feeling forward, again and again and again.
I want my clients to feel seen and celebrated.
I want women to find the courage and comfort to be exactly who they are!
THE EXPERIENCE
PREPARATION GUIDES
I will send you lots of emails to guide you through the planning and preparation of your upcoming boudoir or branding experience.
PRE-SESSION CONSULTATION & COLLABORATION
This is an opportunity to discuss exactly what you want in regards to outfits, hair and makeup, and the overall feel of your photos and experience. We will go through your closet and the client closet. I will answer any questions you may have.
This can be done via zoom or in person.
MEDITATION
Once you’ve settled into the studio (and before your adventure begins)…we will sit together in the comfy corner of the studio where we will be guided through letting go of our insecurities, pre-recorded by my friend, Holly Penney.
If you love it…you get to keep the recording so you can play it anytime after your session!
HAIR & MAKEUP
This is not mandatory, but if you would like to be pampered, you can choose natural or glam...or anything in between. False lashes are included.
ACCESS TO THE CLIENT CLOSET
The client closet has a variety of sizes ranging from XS to XXXL.
PRIVATE & CUSTOMIZED PHOTO SHOOT
Your boudoir photo shoot can be inside my home studio, outside among ten acres of private land...or a mixture of both. There are many sets to choose from and there is no limit on time...I don’t want you (or me) to feel rushed during your experience. We will go through 4 outfits and it will take as long as we need!
POSING DIRECTION & COACHING
During your time with me, I will tell you exactly what to do when it comes to posing. I’ll even coach you through your expressions and movement. There will be some posey poses...but lots of ‘candid’ type ones too.
LUNCH
Once we’ve finished having fun in front of the camera, I will serve you a bite to eat and some bubbly (or a cuppa). This will give you some relaxing ‘me’ time (inside or out), while I cull though all your pictures.
SAME-DAY PHOTO REVEAL
This is your opportunity to look through your pictures and choose your favourites...on the same day as your session! How exciting is that?!
SAME-DAY DELIVERY
Digital images will be edited and delivered to you before you even leave the studio. Printed products such as albums and folios will be delivered at a later date, since they have to be ordered from elsewhere.
