The Boudoir Experience
May was the month of adventure for me and my bestie.
She turned 30 at the end of last year and she said that she wanted this to be her year of play
Before she has to - you know - start 'adulting'
But if she's anything like me - she'll be adventuring for a while!!
We explored the west coast.
Through the mountains - and across to the island - in my cute car!
And to top off our road trip - our grand finale...
Sky Diving !!
Well, she wanted adventure !
And she got it !
Guess what ?!
She's petrified of heights !!
There were a few days during the trip when she was super quiet.
She finally confessed that she was sick to the stomach with anxiety!
We watched and listened to Will Smith
That helped a little!
Until the day of the jump - quiet as a mouse !
Will Smith didn't help that day !
But she still didn't back out
We got prepped
We got dressed
We got taken up in the plane ...
And. We jumped !
And. WOW!
It sounds funny to say - since I'm writing a blog - but words don't even come close to how it feels.
Fear is not one of those words!
Safe.
Calm.
Blissful.
It's just wonderful !
We landed gracefully - and our faces (and hearts) were filled with joy.
And we wanted to do it again !!
This whole experience - and those feeling we felt ...
Excitement - "I've booked to do something fun! "
Nervous - " Oh crap! It's actually happening "
Relaxed - " WOW! This is actually really wonderful! "
