Read moreAs soon as it was confirmed that I had been accepted on to the Dreams Take Flight team - as one of their Photographers for Disneyland - I hunted high and low for my Donald Duck.
Donald Duck has always been my favourite - and I think it’s because I could mimic his voice (or at least I thought I could) - but I tried before I arrived at Disney and I can no longer do it . . . I just sound like a dying duck instead!
It was at exactly the same time that we had moved - so I was going through every box anyway - but I could not find my Donald Duck!
I did however find a letter from my little friend - thanking us for her treasure chest and Donald Duck - so clearly I thought she needed it more than me!

Sixteen years ago - I bought my very first car - and learnt to drive.
In between lessons - my dad would accompany me in my purple Nissan - so I could practice - and get better.
My dad was always very forthcoming with 'feedback'...
"No - you need to do it this way!"
"Stop riding on your break."
"You are too close" (as he gripped his seat and pressed his foot on the imaginary break!)
I listened - even though I thought my driving was awesome!

It makes me so happy that my lovelies get SUPER EXCITED to see their pictures from their beautiful day - believe me - I am twitching with excitement too.
I want to get your pics to you as quick as possible - but without interfering with the quality of the image.
Beautiful images take time - and my Graphics Teacher (18 years ago) said to me "Emma - you are such a perfectionist!"
That perfectionism got me an A grade - and I'm hoping that same trait will make very happy costumers.
I am proud to have a successful business - and because of this - wedding season is an extremely busy time for Pretty as a picture Photography.

In three days - we get to move into our forever home!
New home.
New office.
New [outdoor] studio.
No more dull beige walls to stare at when I’m in thinking (ok - distracted) mode - I don’t even have a pot plant to look at!
But it’s ok - because in just a few days - not only will I potentially have a beautiful floral arrangement sat pretty on my shelves - but I will have a whole forest of trees to gaze into - as I ‘work’!
And I’m sure my work motivation will kick in once the novelty of new has gone - and it has sunk in that this is it - our dream has come true!
Read moreAt 33 years young (and six days - already!!!), I was expecting to go out for a few drinks with my friends - shopping with hubby - and a ‘family’ dinner with our Canadian family.
To CELEBRATE...
I wasn’t expecting prezzies!
Well, maybe from my hubby, hehe!
But not from my friends - my ‘family’ - or even my mommy (because I have told her several times that she really doesn’t have to - but she wants to - and I can’t say no to that).
I have received such beautiful gifts this year - my antique tea set is now complete - I have brand new (bright white) converse - and plenty of nail polish colours to get me through the seasons!

This morning - I woke suddenly from my sleep.
My dream was basically an episode of the Walking Dead - abandoned buildings and deserted towns that I would move on from - leaving those that I just met, behind. - leaving in my Mini Cooper that climbed stairs and packed up into my pocket when I had no need to drive.
I ended up stood with my mom and dad - in an office full of women who gathered and listened intently to my daddy as he raved about my achievements - and the model wine bar I’d made at school.
But there was another man in the room too - and he was stood inappropriately close to me. I didn’t know this man, but yet he had his arm weighing down across my shoulders. I felt uncomfortable.

Twenty-one years ago - I was abandoned up the Eiffel Tower!
And 38 years prior to that - Audrey Hepburn apparently got ‘lost’ up the tower too!
I was shopping for souvenirs - and when I came out of the store with keychain in hand - my school class had gone.
They can’t have gone far - surely?!
But they had.
I searched for them - and found no-one - they had left me.
At twelve years old - I was stood alone - in a foreign country - up the Eiffel Tower!

The Client Appreciation Party got re-organized due to the change in location - and I think it’s going to be even better now!
